Staying at the Grand Hotel Amrath in Amsterdam transports visitors back in time. Originally constructed and operating as a shipping house in the 1930s, the building maintains its air of nautical verve.
Rooms are spacious and overlook Amsterdam’s infamous canals. The window sill is large enough to sit and read while enjoying looking out and observing passers-by. Having such a large window sill made us feel as if we were in Peter Pan.
We enjoyed an abundant and succulent breakfast. Eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, pastries, museli with dark and milk chocolate flakes, and a variety of world-famous cheeses and crackers…The hotel is conveniently located near the train station.
Grand Hotel Amrath is a memorable place to stay. We highly recommend it.
